With this DNA profile, innovative judicial research, a researcher genetic genealogy and a special investigation company, was able to determine a possible relative of the child.

The detectives then followed the child’s family to Philadelphia and contacted a relatives who took them to Vera Bryant, the mother of the child, with the help of local authorities. Vera died in 1980, but his body was removed and his DNA confirmed a match.

But at the same time, it is not clear what happened to Bryant and his six -month -old brother James Bryant. James’ body was never found.

The detectives believe that Vera and her boyfriend James Hedgepeth at that time are now involved in the murder of Bryant, who is now dead. According to Fairfax District Police, Hedgepeth had previously been convicted of murder and had a “severe penalty history”.

A family member said that Vera had two sons, Carl and James, and according to the authorities, he plans to travel from Philadelphia to Virginia in 1972.
