Porepunkah police shooting fugitive shot dead after seven months on the run

Attorney General Sonya Kilkenny said her thoughts were with the Porepunkah community and the two police officers killed last year.

“This is a developing situation and we are being informed about it at this time and more information will come and we will be able to say more in due course,” he said as news of Freeman’s death broke Monday morning.

“I’ll let Vic[toria] The police need to come forward and say more about this but I think it’s really important to think about the Porepunkah community.

“I know it’s been six months and our thoughts and of course our support are with this community and the families of the two officers who were killed.”
