Reheated pizza tastes fresh and crispy with Domino’s method | UK | News

Everyone loves a takeaway now and then, and it’s often even better when you have leftovers the next morning.
This has encouraged pizza lovers to share their best methods for reheating pizza so it’s as delicious as the next day, and Domino’s has weighed in.
One Reddit user said: “Can we talk about reheating pizza? What’s your method? My brother went out for dinner and came back with a whole pizza.”
“My preference is cast iron, deep dish or something on the stove. I use very low heat and with the lid on, everything just kind of gets hot.”
“I guess I could use the oven, but even if you put the pizza in to heat it would take about the same time.”
They added: “In the summer I don’t need to run the oven, which makes a difference. On thinner pizzas I like to add a little oil at the end and turn up the heat. It browns the crust a little.”
Fortunately, people were quick to offer their advice on the matter.
One user commenting on the post agreed with this method, adding: “I use the skillet myself. We love thin crust, so the hot cast iron crisps the crust and the offset lid helps reheat the sauces. We just need a super hot skillet and a few minutes to reheat.”
Meanwhile, another user said: “I always eat leftover pizza from lunch cold from the fridge in the afternoon.
“But for once in the winter, I didn’t want to eat something cold, so I threw a few slices in the air fryer because I didn’t know how else to reheat them (and I refuse to make pizza in the microwave). Wow, what a pleasant surprise.”
Meanwhile, another user simply says “an air fryer is the way to go,” while another prefers the microwave to save time.
Here’s what they said: “I microwave it over very low heat for about 45 seconds to get the cheese to start melting. Then I finish it in a hot cast-iron skillet to crisp the crust and heat it even further.”
One recent user said: “Nothing comes close to the air fryer-toaster-oven for convenience, speed, and results.”
So what’s the best way to reheat pizza? Fortunately, fast food giant Domino’s has weighed in on this hotly debated topic of conversation. And their methods are extremely easy!
Sharing its expert opinions, Domino’s explained the best way to reheat pizza at home with the equipment you have.
“Whether you’re using an oven, an air fryer, a microwave, or even a frying pan, you’ll still enjoy the Domino’s flavor you know and love when it comes to reheating our pizza the next day,” the statement reads.
“For best results, we recommend the oven that most closely matches the way your pizza was originally cooked. Bake at 190°C for 10-15 minutes and you’ll get crispy crusts and perfectly melted cheese.”
There you have it, a day-old pizza that still tastes crispy and fresh. You can thank us later!
