Potts Point resident Chloe Paul speaks out about her terrifying ordeal with celebrity dentist Steven Lin

A Sydney mother is recovering from surgery after she was allegedly attacked at her home after allegedly breaking into the home of a famous dentist and demanding money before he was shot dead by police.
Chloe Paul, 41, died during a terrifying exam on Tuesday. He had surgery for a broken nose after a tackle against Steven Lin.
In a statement to 9 News, Ms. Paul’s family said the dentist forced her to the ground, attacked her and tried to strangle her, then used his boxing training to fight her and try to call the police.
Dr Lin was allegedly armed with a knife when he attacked two women he did not know at an apartment complex on St Neot Avenue in Potts Point, near Sydney’s CBD, before police were called about 10.50am.
Police fired stun guns against the man, which were ineffective.
A police officer then shot the man and he died a short time later.
Assistant Commissioner Peter McKenna said the man allegedly attacked two women from two separate units.

“They were both taken to hospital, one with more serious injuries than the other but it is not believed to be life-threatening,” he said.
“One (the woman) has injuries consistent with a shooting, the other has injuries consistent with blunt force trauma.”
Both women were in stable condition following the attack.

News.com.au reported that Dr Lin was once a respected dental nutritionist and best-selling author, but allegedly developed an addiction to ice following the end of his marriage.
He appeared in Wollongong Local Court just days before his death last year over allegations he assaulted a sex worker, strangled her and stole $2000 from her, but the case was dismissed when she failed to turn up.
