Poundland to shut 16 more UK stores – full list of confirmed locations | UK | News
Poundland is scheduled to close 11 more stores in the days, and will also close 16 more branches in unjust places. There are currently 800 Poundland stores in the UK, but the budget retailer aims to reduce the number of stores between 650 and 700.
There were already 40 poundlands closing In 2025 and after the court has received the court approval for the major restructuring plan, Poundland will proceed with more closing this year.
On Tuesday (August 26th), the company Peach Bidco, the owner of Poundland, said a judge would save the plan to enter the management of the store. Lawyers, if the plan was not sanctioned, the store will be exhausted until September 7 announced.
In June, Poundland said that after selling Peach Bidco, a subsidiary of Pepco Group’s private capital company Gordon Brothers, it plans to close the doors of 68 stores after selling it for just 1 £.
The group has already closed the stores, but now it will be able to finish these rental early and progress with more closing. Although 11 more stores will be closed on August 31, Poundland has now confirmed that 16 more stores would close, but their locations have not been identified.
The closing dates will be announced later on the year when the employees are informed.
