Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said that, as required by law, he will continue to serve as central bank governor unless his successor, Kevin Warsh, is confirmed when his term expires in May.
Separately, Powell said he would not leave his Board post, which technically runs through early 2028, until the Justice Department’s investigation into him is “fully and truly concluded in terms of transparency and certainty.”
