Power Ballad film review: Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas face off | The Canberra Times

Rudd plays Rick Power, an immigrant singer-songwriter living in Ireland whose young rock band never really gets anywhere. He now makes his living singing other people’s hit songs as the lead singer of a wedding band (Celebrate, Maneaterlots of gangsters). Even if their dreams didn’t come true, life isn’t that bad; He has a lovely wife Rachel (Marcella Plunkett) and daughter Aja (Beth Fallon). This is something that many, if not most, people can probably relate to from their own lives.
