Powerful Glory makes history with 200-1 win at Ascot on British Champions Day

Powerful Glory made racing history with a huge upset when she won at odds of 200-1 at Ascot on British Champions Day.
The foreigner, ridden by Jamie Spencer for trainer Richard Fahey, placed second in the Champions Sprint Stakes by beating favorite Lazzat 2-1.
Powerful Glory became the longest-priced winner in the senior British Group One race, three months after Qirat set a new record by winning the 150-1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood.
Spencer powered to victory with a late surge on his mount on Britain’s richest racing day, with Quinault finishing third with a shot of 66-1 in the 19-runner contest.
