Russian attack submarine suffered serious malfunction, at risk of explosion in Mediterranean

The 242 -meter submarine, led by a crew of 52 people, was forced to overwhelm the Strait of the Gibraltar after the technical problems were forced over the water. The reports of the sun show that the damage to the ship’s fuel system causes the fuel to leak to waiting directly, to create and create a variable situation at the bottom.
The crew is reportedly not repaired problems due to lack of spare parts and qualified experts on the ship.
The telegraph channel Vchk-OGPU, known for information from the Russian security and law enforcement officers, warned that the only option of the crew may be to pump the accumulated fuel directly to the Mediterranean.
Novorossiysk is known to have the ability to carry nuclear Cruise missiles representing a critical component of aggressive abilities of the Black Sea fleet. The submarine can be immersed up to 45 days by underlining the strategic value.
This incident attracts an annoying parallel to the 2000 Kursk submarine disaster, which caused the explosions that sinks the Oscar II class and killed the entire 118 sailors. Although Novorossyysk’s technical problems are currently varying in nature, the risk of settled explosion brings concerns about the ship’s security and operational preparation. The British Royal Navy officials closely monitored Novorossiysk, which is involved in regional distributions, including previous patrols through the British Canal. Additional regional tensions are accompanied by the technical problems of the submarine. A Ukrainian drone strike recently targeted Novorossiysk, Russian port city, killed the two, and asked for an emergency statement. However, the port infrastructure remained largely intact and oil and cereal exports continue with minimum deterioration.
Novorossiysk shares his class with the submarine of Rostov-on-Don, which was destroyed by Ukrainian forces in August 2024. Both submarines serve as key assets in Russia’s nuclear submarine fleet.
