‘Bring it home’: PM’s diplomatic fight for climate meet

While the Prime Minister is preparing to file a lawsuit to stop a rival owner, Australia is asked not to have difficulty in the struggle to host the rights of a large climate summit.
Canberra worked with the Pacific countries in the proposal to jointly regulate the 2026 United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP31.
Türkiye also stated that he was interested in hosting the summit and no proposal did not avoid the chances of keeping the talks on the land soil.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is preparing to meet with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the UN General Assembly in New York to try to persuade the leader Ankara’s proposal.
Mr. Albania, Australia’s case will defend in good faith and already met with the leaders of Türkiye, he said.
“This is a common proposal and a series of pacific leaders to defend here this week,” he said to journalists on Monday.
“If we see our transition to a common location, it is likely to be needed.”
The Prime Minister hopes to leave the UN with a diplomatic victory on the world stage after he could not make official agreements with Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea during his last two overseas trip.
Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Yung, Australia, “Türkiye should not allow this war and not let it win this war,” he said.
“We must be the host city of Adelaide and continue to lead the leadership around the world,” he said.
“If the Prime Minister does not bring the police home… This will fail.”
If a conference cannot be reached between the two bids, the German city will be held in accordance with the COP rules in Bonn.
The collision should be resolved before the latest climate conference in Brazil, which will end in November.
The negotiations follow the federal government’s description of the 2035 emissions reduction target on Thursday.
Greenhouse gas emissions will need to reduce 62 to 70 percent of 2005 levels to achieve the target.

In accordance with the Paris Agreement signed in 2015, countries should increase their target every five years.
The President of the Climate Change authority and former NSW Liberal Treasurer Matt Kean said that voters sent a “quite open message ına to the government and the opposition they wanted to the climate action.
“This (2035) target will continue to see economic growth for Australia, will continue to see the decreases in emissions, and will continue to see the cost of life in things like electricity,” he said.
“There is an environmental obligation to do this, and if we take it, there is an economic opportunity to set us to a more prosperous future.”
Australia first made a commitment to reach a net zero emissions under the coalition government led by former Prime Minister Scott Morrison in 2021 by 2050.
Both liberals and citizens members, opposition leader Sussan Ley’in leadership in a large test to be scrapped, the coalition is divided to shed the climate target.
