Premier League black market tickets: Liverpool shut down 145,000 accounts in crackdown

Liverpool has closed its 145,000 ticket accounts as part of a print against Touting in the last two years, BBC Sport appeared.

They also published a record of 1,114 lifetime last season – a movement that follows the discovery of the collective manipulation of the software used to buy tickets.

Premier League champions, in the last 12 months to prevent the monitoring of tickets by Touts by trying to access a burner by phone, 500 people have been rejected to enter the AFELD, he said.

The industrial black market on the Premier League tickets comes after a BBC Sport investigation last week.

Re -sales are contrary to the British laws, but many websites continue to operate on the basis of outside the country.

The BBC found that sellers use boat software and fake identities for hundreds of tickets to be sold for higher prices, and that fans affected fans to participate in games through official exchanges or membership votes.

Supporters may stop the prostitute prices after purchasing non -working tickets, or the fans of the fans’ separation.

Liverpool inspectors also closed 162 social media groups who participated in the combined membership of more than one million users – who have never realized real tickets in Morocco ratio or who did not sell fake tickets that have never sold real tickets.

Meanwhile, stops with 400 targets were held on the match days and prevented access to tourniquets for accounts with suspicious activity.

1,114 lifetime prohibitions represent a major increase of more than 75 implemented in the 2023-24 campaign.

In the 2023-24 season, Liverpool closed 100,000 counterfeit accounts and thinks that new preventive measures such as multi-factor authentication, single session and the application of more advanced fraud analysis tools have made a difference.

The club, which owns more than 30,000 season tickets, carries out an official sanction process where senior club officials and a member of an independent supporter association listen to the cases and decide on the appropriate action process.

The majority of lifelong bans and uncertain suspensions delivered by the club were for the unauthorized sale of season tickets, memberships or hospitality tickets.

Liverpool is one of a series of clubs that promises to increase resources to target those who participate in the proliferation of the design activity.

Arsenal said that they canceled about 74,000 accounts that are trying to buy tickets in unauthorized ways and ban more than 7,000 members this season. Chelsea claims to prevent purchasing from boats in more than 350,000 attempts.

However, Tom Greatrex, President of the Football Supporters Association, told BBC Sport how some Premier League clubs questioned how to work with Touting.

“Long -term supporters find it impossible to buy tickets because they are provided through secondary agencies.” He said.

“This game becomes endemic throughout the game.”

The Premier League invites fans to use “excessive attention” while using unauthorized sites and offers encrypted barcodes that they will make design more difficult to design for digital tickets.

Last season by home office in the first six layers of British football to deal with the ticket only 12 arrests were recorded.

The Ministry of Culture, Media and Sports said, “Unauthorized sales of football match tickets in the UK and Wales are illegal. There is a legislation to minimize the risk of authorization, football clubs are responsible for implementing their own strategies to prevent ticket sales to unauthorized sellers.

“Although the law only applies to the domestic re -halves, it covers any element of an unauthorized sales chain in England and Wales.”
