Premier League star Kieran Trippier has finally sold his six-bedroom mansion after nearly two years on the market – but he looks set to suffer a heavy defeat after knocking more than £1.1 million off the asking price.
The former England star put his property up for sale for £3.8 million in July 2024 after his marriage to his 37-year-old wife Charlotte deteriorated.
With no buyers in sight, he dropped the price to £3 million last year and eventually accepted an offer of £2,675,000.
The defender, who is currently going through a divorce, appears set to leave Newcastle United after four years at the club.
The couple, who have three children, bought their ‘dream home’ at a secluded modern property in Northumberland for £3.1 million in February 2022, just weeks after Trippier, 35, returned to England after playing three years in Spain for Atletico Madrid.
Described by estate agents as a ‘masterpiece of modern luxury’, the house appeared to have struck a bargain at the time after it sold to its original owners for £3.25 million when it was built in 2009.
They spent £1.6 million on renovations and renovations, transforming the property into a classic ‘footballer’s mansion’.
Situated on an exclusive private road in a prestigious development, the 12,500 square meter mansion has its own cinema and games room, as well as a ‘magnificent leisure suite’ which includes a 10 x 5 meter swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and changing facilities.

Located on a secluded, modern estate in Northumberland, the property has an indoor swimming pool and is where Trippier and his estranged wife Charlotte lived when he joined Newcastle.

When Trippier owned the property, the first-floor games room featured a pool table and was adorned with framed shirts bearing the names of some of the world’s best players, including Lionel Messi and Mo Salah.
Trippier is said to have a personal collection of around 200 jerseys, the majority of which consists of jerseys swapped with opponents after matches.
The mansion sits on extensive grounds, with a summer house that Trippier uses as a gym and a large patio area spanning the width of the property, said to be ‘perfect for outdoor entertaining’.

They called it a ‘private oasis’ that provides ‘unparalleled tranquility and elegance’.

Should footballers’ private lives influence fans’ views on their heritage and their commitment to their club?
In a nod to her marriage failure, Charlotte wrote on her Instagram story: ‘Sooner or later you forget the things you swore you’d never forget and that’s the best feeling in the world.’
The former couple, who were photographed on a night out, got engaged in Cyprus in the summer of 2015 and married in June the following year. Charlotte returns to the North West
The brochure adds: ‘This upper floor serves as a self-contained annexe, complete with a spacious bedroom, open en-suite bathroom with marble double shower and freestanding bath, and an adjoining living area with kitchen and dining area.’
Trippier, who was born in Bury and started his career in Manchester City’s youth system, is thought to have met Charlotte while playing for Burnley.
The couple moved to London after Trippier signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 2015 and they got engaged. They married in Cyprus the following year.
Charlotte, who runs a fashion blog with her sister Rosie Wray, gave birth to their first son, Jacob, in December 2016. Their daughter, Esme Rose, was born in February 2020, and the newest addition to the family is due to give birth to their third baby in 2022.
Before their separation, Charlotte and her children regularly attended Newcastle United matches to watch Trippier in action, and he was believed to have played a key role in Trippier’s success.
Charlotte spoke candidly about the difficulties she experienced when they moved to Spain.
Appearing with her husband in a Prime Video documentary about Newcastle United, she said: ‘When we first moved to Madrid I was on my own for a long time. I felt so alone because people can’t see this side of it.
‘About four months later I was saying to him: “I don’t know if I can stay here Kieran, I’m depressed. I don’t have family here, I don’t have any friends here.”
Speculation about the couple’s marriage arose after Charlotte did not join other WAGs in Germany to follow England’s campaign at the Euro 2024 tournament.
He did not attend any matches and just 48 hours before England’s final group match against Slovenia he took to Instagram and posted a cryptic message giving an insight into their troubles.
In her post, Charlotte wrote: ‘Sooner or later you forget the shit you swore you’d never forget and it’s the best feeling in the world.’
Following the tournament, Tripper retired from international football and sources said he hoped this would remove a “layer of pressure” as he tried to make a new life for himself.
The couple went on separate holidays. While Trippier flew to Türkiye with his close friend and England teammate Kyle Walker, who is having marital problems, Charlotte also went to Santorini with her sister, posting a series of stunning photos of herself in dazzling outfits and bikinis.
Soon their house was put up for sale and weeks later it was revealed that Charlotte had abandoned her wedding ring and moved back to the north west with her three children, where she had moved to a mansion in Cheshire.
Last summer, Trippier was seen cozying up to Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry, 30, during a break in Ibiza.
The house, which includes a games room with a wall of framed players’ jerseys bearing various signatures, was eventually bought for around £2.7 million.
When it went up for sale, estate agents described the ‘perfect’ property as ‘a truly dream home combining luxury living with cutting-edge design in an absolute location’.

At the time, Trippier announced on Instagram: ‘Me and Charlotte broke up over a year ago. ‘I have not commented before as this is a private matter and we want to protect our children.’
Just weeks ago, it was reported that Trippier was seen enjoying a night out with an OnlyFans model who is 14 years his junior.
In February, Kehlani, 21, went to dinner with Webster at the converted church Babucho brasserie in Newcastle and then gave him her beige tracksuit to help him beat the cold.
