Prime minister evacuated after security incident

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was evacuated from the Lodge after police responded to an alleged security incident.
Australian Federal Police responded to his official residence in Canberra at around 6pm AEDT on Tuesday.
“A comprehensive search was carried out at a conservation agency and nothing suspicious was found,” a spokesman said in a statement.
“There is no current threat to the community or public safety.”
It comes at a time when threats against politicians, including the Prime Minister, are increasing.
