Prince Andrew’s latest Epstein bombshell leave Palace ‘exasperated’ | Royal | News

Prince Andrew’s latest comments about Jeffrey Epstein have left palace aides “exasperated” and “disappointed”, it has been claimed. The Duke of York hit headlines over the weekend after an email he sent to the convicted pedophile emerged, contradicting his infamous claims in a BBC interview about the timing of losing contact with him.

“We’re in this together,” she said in an email, allegedly three months after she cut off contact with Epstein and just one day after the famous photo of the Duke and Virginia Giuffre was published.

Now palace aides have come forward to say there is “nothing more that can be done” for the disgraced duke, who resigned from his role as a senior royal staffer in 2019 over his links to Epstein, leading to his public downfall.

Andrew’s military titles are further stripped in 2022, while the King cut his private funding last year.

An aide told The: Sun: “There is weariness and disappointment with the new statements and there is nothing more that can be done. Everything that can be done has been done.”

Andrew told BBC Newsnight in November 2019 that he broke off his friendship with Epstein in December 2010.

However, an email seen by the Sun On Sunday and Mail On Sunday claimed to have been sent on February 28, 2011.

According to the papers, Andrew wrote in his message: “I’m worried about you too! Don’t worry about me! Looks like we’re in this together and we’ll just have to get through it. Otherwise, stay in close contact and we’ll play some more soon!!!!”

He is said to have signed a contract with “A, HRH The Duke of York, KG”.

Andrew left public office in 2019 amid outrage over his friendship with convicted billionaire pedophile Epstein.

He later paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case against Ms. Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein in her youth and whom Andrew claims he has never met. The agreement was not an admission of guilt.

The Duke has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing and allegations made against him.
