Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘most damaging moment ever’ revealed | Royal | News

A royal commentator has described it as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “most damaging moment” since their resignation as working royals, and it’s not related to any of their interviews or business ventures. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the Royal Family in 2020, sending several bombshells to the world with their allegations about their lives within the Firm.

Harry and Meghan made allegations against the royal family in a series of interviews following their move to the US. They also made a docu-series on Netflix, and Duke released an explosive memoir called Spare. It is believed that the bombshell allegations against members of the firm and their tell-all personal statements have hit their popularity, especially in the UK. But despite all this, it was a TV program mocking them that had the biggest impact on public perception, according to the royal commentator. Harry and Meghan made headlines in February 2023 after starring in South Park’s second episode of the series’ Season 26, titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour.

The episode centered around the fictional Canadian Prince and his wife, largely interpreted as a parody of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveling to small-town Colorado.

The episode of South Park was about the couple trying to live a normal, simple life. They attempted to do this by audibly requesting privacy during a global tour.

Royal commentator Daisy McAndrew said in a new documentary airing on Channel 5: “The thing that hurt Harry and Meghan more than almost anything else was taking the mickey on the Stealth Tour. [South Park] section.”

He added “Harry and Meghan: Royal Hypocrites.” Mirror: “When they became the butt of jokes with the cartoon, they completely hypocritically made them look like they were going on a tour to ask for privacy, while banning all kinds of late-night TV shows.”

It comes after a busy few days for the Duchess of Sussex, who was spotted in New York to attend two very special events with husband Prince Harry on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, Harry and Meghan attended the Healthy Minds Project Gala, where they received an award for their humanitarian work.

The Duke warned that the impact of social media on children is “one of the most pressing issues of our time”.

Meghan added that the couple often discuss how they will protect their own children, six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet, as they grow up.

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess attended the Project Healthy Minds World Mental Health Day Festival.

Harry and Meghan: Royal Hypocrites is on Saturday at 8.55pm on Channel 5
