July 9 strike against Centre’s policies; for workers and unemployed: Amarjeet Kaur

Senior Union Leader and Secretary General of the Indian Union Congress Amarjeet Kaur.
Amarjeet Kaur, the Secretary General of the Congress of the Congress of the All -Indian Union, Amarjeet Kaur, said that the strike was called by the Narendra Modi government and both unemployed and workers’ policies. In an interview HinduThe strike is very important to prepare the working class and agricultural community and agricultural workers for a long -term war. He said that investors questioning that the government has taken action to prevent trade union rights, not because of the workers, but because of the government’s policy of encouraging one or two companies, he said. Excerpts from the interview:
What is the interest of this strike compared to other years?
The importance of this strike is the beginning of larger movements in India. Enough. This government stopped recruitment. They don’t create business for young people. Instead, they began to hire those who retired for less salary and without any social security. They did this in the railways and in the steel sector. There is a work opening of approximately 15 lakh in the central government and central public sector enterprises. However, the government does not use people out of the mood of assigning people, but also makes many jobs outdoor and contract. The direction is very clear, unemployment in this country will be very serious.
They decided not to revive the old pension plan (OPS) for existing employees. They say they will continue with the United Public Pension Program (UPS). Now, the UPS is worse than the national pension system (NPS). After choosing UPS, you have no other option to switch to NPs or OPS. Thirdly, they continued our opponent’s policy – the incentive to employment. In order to finance employers, they use the worker’s money in the provider fund organization of the employees. We demand that the working days within the scope of Mgnrega increase the per month for the national minimum wage for 26000 ₹ 26000 sectors per month, a minimum PF salary per month and those who are not within the scope of any pension plan.
Did the government talk to you at this regulation?
When we met with Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Union Labor last year and made a detailed presentation about our demands. He told us he would examine these demands. Instead, however, the government was trying to apply the four labor force code against the labor rights we had in this country. This government does not believe in consultation. The Indian Study Conference has not gathered for more than ten years. We asked Mr. Mandaviya to collect ILC. In March, Mr. Mandaviya said the center would apply labor codes. We decided to burn the copies of labor codes on the day of their application and started to work on May 20. Considering the situation throughout the borders, we then postponed the strike to July 20. However, the government did not have such a matter. The Prime Ministry sends consultancy letters to all state governments and tells them to change the business laws according to their work codes.
Government and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh say that states are implementing labor codes and protests should be directed to them.
Apart from the government governments operated by BJP, no one informed these codes. This central government is very clear for the government. So they play double games. The center united the 29 laws and coded them. Based on the codes, Center asks the state governments to change their rules and actions. Unions will fight against state governments and we are fighting. We warned the states against the implementation of labor codes. We will fight.
The government says that codes are necessary to make business ease and investment.
They scare the state governments that they will not invest in states if labor codes are not applied. States must follow the Indian Constitution and our label laws. Serious employers and investors know that stability is important and that industrial peace is the key to industrial growth. The reason for reducing the investment is not workers. The reason for this is the economic and social policies of our government, as well as global economic slowdown. Why should foreign investors come to a country where social attacks are normal? Law and order are a serious question. Cong Capitalism is another obstacle for investors. Most of the sources are delivered to Adani and Ambani. When investors know why our government stops with two companies and there is no win-win situation in this competition. So the workers are not responsible for this. Worker agitations are suppressed here.
This time, how many sectors will this strike respond?
Strike notifications are presented in banks, insurance companies, steel sector, coal sector, minerals and oil sector, copper sector and some airports. Railway workers will have mobilization that supports the strike, but there will be no strike there. The defense sector is going on strike. They gave strike notifications everywhere. All states, government employees gave a strike notification. We will “take”tape-Benzeri ”Situation Asam, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Punjab, Bihar, Kerala, West Bengal and many other states. Opposition parties were approached by trade unions and expanded their support. The message committed support to workers in BMS unions.
