Prince Harry left Palace aides speechless with ‘desperate’ move | Royal | News

On 2 May 2025, Harry expressed his desire to make peace with his estranged royal relatives, while also speaking about the health of his father, the King.
Charles was diagnosed with a form of cancer in 2024 and has been receiving treatment ever since.
In the BBC interview, Harry said the King “won’t talk to me because of this security issue” but added that he didn’t want to fight anymore because he “didn’t know how much time my father had”.
However, his comments caused uneasiness in royal circles; A senior member of the royal court described him as “deluded and desperate” for thinking that speaking about his family’s troubles on television might promote peace between the two sides.
Another royal source said: “Harry has lost touch with reality. The man is not getting the message.”
“This TV moment shows his desperation and refusal to accept any responsibility for attacks on the royal family, attempts to undermine the institution and malicious allegations of racism and bullying.
“One of Charles’ team described him as ‘duped’ for thinking a media interview openly mocking his father and brother could cause any controversy.”
Since then, aides on both sides have made some efforts toward a possible path to peace talks between Harry and his father.
