Prince Harry ‘stormed off in a huff’ over elderly fan’s Christmas request | Royal | News

Prince Harry may have often appeared smiling and happy around fans during his time as a royal, but it turns out that wasn’t always the case. When on the royal stage, the Duke of Sussex always looked bright and cheerful, but a moment at a restaurant, away from the spotlight, presented Harry in a very different light.
The moment happened in 2013 when Harry was enjoying lunch with his ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas and her family in Kidlington. The prince and his family had the opportunity to dine in peace and dine towards the back of the restaurant, where a limited number of people could view.
But then, as they finished eating, the 41-year-old Duke was approached by an older man with a small request.
According to royal author and expert Tina Brown, the man asked Harry for a photo for his sick wife, but Harry did not respond nicely.
Recalling the incident in her book The Palace Papers, Tina Brown wrote that the man said to Harry: “Oh, sir, I’m so sorry, I know it’s Christmas time but can I take a picture to give to my unwell wife?”
Ms Brown continued: “And so Cressida opened her mouth and said: ‘Oh, of course.’ And Harry said: ‘Get out of my way’ and his face turned red and he walked away angrily.
Neither Harry nor Cressida ever mentioned the incident that took place out of sight.
