Prince William and Princess Kate were reportedly “shocked” over allegations that Meghan Markle shouted at a Palace staffer before her wedding in 2018. While it was previously believed that Prince William and Princess Kate had become estranged from Prince Harry and his wife Meghan after they stepped away from royal life in 2020, it is now known that cracks began to appear in the years leading up to this.

The claim was made by royal author Tina Brown, who wrote in her book ‘The Palace Papers’ that William and Meghan were “allegedly shocked by the way Meghan treated her collaborators.”
The author wrote: “During the announcement of the wedding plans, a typically disturbing incident occurred when Meghan is said to have shouted at a junior staffer who was holding back an announcement because it clashed with something planned at another senior royal’s home.”
The insider reportedly told the author, who was also a friend of the late Princess Diana, that Meghan did not bully the staff member but that “they had never heard of a member of the Royal Family speaking to a staff member in this way.”
This is not the first time Meghan has been accused of allegedly mistreating Palace staff, but the duchess has always denied all allegations made against her.
While Harry, William and their spouses were initially believed to have shared a good relationship, this is believed to have completely ended since ‘Megxit’ five years ago.
It is believed that the couple are no longer on good terms and William, 43, and his brother Harry, 41, are estranged from each other.
This is believed to remain the case despite Harry having begun to mend fences following a rocky relationship with their father, King Charles, 76.
