Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend was arrested for leaving a hotel in Majorca without paying her bill. Reality TV star Catherine Ommanney, 53, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of fraud on Sunday after a hotel manager at the Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa claimed she had not paid her €500 (£434) bill for a nine-day stay.
It was reported that Catherine, who ran away with Prince Harry after meeting him at a bar in 2006, appeared before the judge in Palma last night and was released on bail pending the ongoing investigation. The story was featured in Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora, detailing how the interior designer allegedly booked the hotel stay using a card with “no money” on it.
It is unknown what Catherine said in court about the incident; but was seen on his way to a special court hearing on Sunday. It was stated that he had not made any comments since his arrest. Mirror.
She also said: “I believe he enjoys my company because I’m a little older and wiser and not like those 20-year-olds or whatever he hangs out with.
“I had the patience to listen to what he had to say and give him some life advice.
“Harry was surrounded by young women who would attack him, and I think he was looking for something deeper and more meaningful with someone wiser.”
They are believed to have remained on friendly terms after their escape failed after several meetings.
