Prince Harry once expressed concerns to Prince William that Princess Charlotte was a ‘Substitute’ like him, but William quickly denied this, it has been claimed. While promoting his memoir Spare in January 2023, Prince Harry said he felt a “responsibility” to his nephews, knowing that at least one of those three children would end up as a spare like me.
When he voiced these concerns to William, Prince Harry said the future King “made it clear that the children were not his responsibility.” Helping their daughter Charlotte maintain her “reserve” position remains a key priority for the Welsh.
