Princess Kate sends gift to hospital that treated her cancer | Royal | News

In a sweet and thoughtful gesture, Catherine, Princess of Wales sent beautiful spring flowers to staff at The Royal Marsden hospital where she is being treated for cancer.

Catherine penned a note along with the flowers: “To Patients and Staff at the Royal Marsden, come spring, these daffodils from the Isles of Scilly will tell you I’m thinking of you all. Catherine.”

The Princess of Wales became Joint Patron of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust on 14 January 2025, joining her husband Prince William, who has been Chairman since 2007.

The Royal Marsden wrote: “A huge thank you to HRH The Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, Joint Patron of the Royal Marsden, for the donation of beautiful daffodils to be displayed in our hospitals for the enjoyment of our patients and staff. An incredibly thoughtful gesture.”

While the images include staff treating cancer patients, flower bouquets are displayed in the photographs.

Fans flocked to social media to comment on the sweet gesture. One wrote: “Such a thoughtful delivery.”

Another said: “Such a beautiful gesture and thought. She is a pure, kind soul and we are lucky to have her.”

One wrote: “My husband is currently being treated at The Royal Marsden and they are absolutely amazing!”

In January 2025, Catherine announced that she is cancer free. Cancer Research UK says the word “remission” means there are no signs of cancer after treatment.

In her previous message on social media, Catherine thanked the Royal Marsden Hospital for their “exceptional” care and looking after her “so well”.

She added: “My sincerest thanks to everyone who walked silently with William and me as we got through it all. We couldn’t ask for more.”
