Princess of Wales ‘enjoyed birthday lunch with her mother Carole and sister Pippa at French bistro in Berkshire’ – as waiters who served her praise royal’s ‘charm and grace’

The Princess of Wales reportedly celebrated her 44th birthday by lunching at a ‘tiny’ Berkshire bistro; staff praised her ‘charm and elegance’.
Kate, who grew up in the area, was said to have dined at a French cafe in Hungerford with her mother Carole Middleton, 70, and sister Pippa, 42.
The Funghi Club, which offers affordable meals that appear to all cost under £25 based on its à la carte menu, proudly took to social media to pay tribute to its ‘rather extraordinary guests’.
‘No photos to share (you’ll see why), but the entire team on duty reported the same thing: She was extremely charming, elegant and had as sparkling a personality as you could imagine.’ Facebook The article was read.
‘The jungle drums of Hungerford didn’t stop beating until Saturday. A little moment of magic for our little bistro – and one we won’t forget in a hurry.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Palace for comment.
Funghi Club, which also has locations in Marlborough, where Kate went to school, offers ‘a relaxed and carefree feeling, with no strict rules between starters, main courses or desserts’.
‘They pride themselves on offering delicious, seasonal food and excellent value for money, whilst providing a delightful dining experience with warm service.’

Dishes at the Hungerford branch, where Kate is said to have dined, include onion soup for £9, pork terrine for £10 and, if you’re looking to splurge, veal bourguignon for £21.
It is not known whether the Princess enjoyed her birthday drink, but the cafe had wine and cocktails available as well as soft drinks.
The bistro seems to be a favorite with non-royals, too, with a 4.6 out of 5 stars rating on Google.
‘I stopped by for coffee and a light lunch. Wow, what a discovery. A lovely welcome from Nathan who quickly found us a table. “Nice, clean decor,” one review read.
‘We were spoiled by the choices on the menu – there are so many things we wanted to try. The only option was to book a table at the Marlborough branch for the next day.
‘My wife had an enormous turkey drumstick. Beautiful, flavorful turkey wrapped in Alcace bacon (unlike the bland fare served elsewhere), with a side of delicious brie and homemade cranberry sauce. I had quiche lorraine with the same Alcace bacon which was really delicious. It’s great from every angle; It’s worth setting out from Warwickshire to try again.’
‘An unforgettable meal at Funghi Club!’ Another was added. ‘Every dish we tried was full of authentic French flavor and beautifully prepared.’
Supporters of the restaurant were delighted with the Princess’ visit, commenting: ‘What an amazing visit to a local business and what a great advertisement for you.’

On Jan. 9, Kate also celebrated her 44th birthday with a “deeply personal” video describing the comfort she received from nature during her cancer treatment and saying “how grateful she is to have discovered what it means to be alive.”
Kensington Palace has released Winter, the latest installment of its year-long ‘Mother Nature’ video series, which features Catherine’s voiceover and footage of her early morning walk in the Berkshires near her Windsor home.
An aide described the release as: ‘The culmination of a deeply personal creative project for the Princess, highlighting humanity’s longstanding connection with nature, as well as nature’s capacity to inspire us and help us heal and grow in mind, body and spirit.’
In the voiceover for the winter episode, Her Majesty personally reflected on her journey and recovery over the past two years, speaking of her ‘fears’ and ‘tears’, her recovery and how ‘deeply grateful’ she is.
He said: ‘Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us serenity, patience and quiet thoughtfulness.
‘Where the current slows down enough for us to see our own reflection.
‘Discovering the deepest aspects of ourselves. Next to the whispers in the pulse of every living thing.
‘I find myself thinking about how grateful I am.
‘For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears are washed away, cleansed and purified. Discover what it means to make peace and survive through our tears.
‘Being one with nature; a quiet teacher and a gentle voice that guides. In memory. It helps us heal.’
There was also a personally penned title: ‘The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal and creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal. But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.
‘There is a lot we can learn from mother nature as we try to build a happier, healthier world. C.’
