The Princess of Wales sent a touching message to patients and staff at the hospital where she is being treated for cancer.
In a heartwarming tribute on Friday, Kate dedicated a beautiful yellow daffodil bouquet to the Royal Marsden hospital in London, where she received chemotherapy in 2024.
“To Patients and Staff at the Royal Marsden, when Spring comes these daffodils from the Isles of Scilly will say I’m thinking of you all,” he wrote in a message posted on Instagram this evening.
The hospital is particularly close to the heart of the royal, who underwent preventative chemotherapy by doctors there after being diagnosed with cancer following abdominal surgery in 2024.
The mother-of-three’s message comes after she sent a heartfelt gift to the hospital ahead of Christmas last year.
Kate, 44, donated a ‘magnificent’ Christmas tree to the hospital’s Sutton branch from the annual carol service at Westminster Abbey in early December.
The tree was decorated for the annual Christmas Together ceremony in London on 5 December; At the ceremony, he invited other senior royals, their children and celebrities including Kate Winslet and Katie Melua to attend the ceremony, which marked its fifth anniversary.
Staff thanked the royal for the touching gift on Instagram, writing: ‘Thank you to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron of the Royal Marsden with HRH The Prince of Wales, for donating a magnificent Christmas tree from the “Christmas Together” Carol Service at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.’

The princess celebrated her 44th birthday in January with a ‘deeply personal’ video in which she described the comfort she received from nature during her cancer treatment and said how ‘deeply grateful’ she was to have ‘discovered what it means to survive’.
Reflecting personally on her journey and recovery, speaking of her ‘fears’ and ‘tears’, Her Majesty said: ‘Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us serenity, patience and quiet reflection.
‘Where the current slows down enough for us to see our own reflection.
‘Discovering the deepest aspects of ourselves. Next to the whispers in the pulse of every living thing.
‘I find myself thinking about how grateful I am.
‘For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears are washed away, cleansed and purified. Discover what it means to make peace and survive through our tears.
‘Being one with nature; a quiet teacher and a gentle voice that guides. In memory. It helps us heal.’
It was part of Kensington Palace’s ‘Mother Nature’ video series Winter, which featured voiceovers from Catherine and footage of her early morning walk in Berkshire, near her home in Windsor.

An aide described the release as ‘the culmination of a deeply personal creative project for Princess that highlights humanity’s long-standing connection with nature, as well as nature’s capacity to inspire us and help us heal and grow in mind, body and spirit.’
In her personal caption, Kate wrote: ‘The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal and creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal. But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.
‘There is a lot we can learn from mother nature as we try to build a happier, healthier world. C.’
The princess underwent major abdominal surgery in January 2024, after which doctors found evidence of cancer and she underwent a grueling course of preventive chemotherapy.
He personally announced the news in a video message in March.
In September of the same year, he also revealed the news that he had completed treatment but warned that his recovery and return to royal duties would be slow but steady.
In January last year, he gave the good news that he had finally entered the recovery process, but once again asked for public understanding regarding his return to public life.

They also visited Fabal Beerhall in Bermondsey, where the couple greeted crowds and poured beer.
During the royal engagement, the Princess revealed she had cut down on alcohol since her diagnosis.
When invited to try beer and cider yesterday afternoon, Catherine told owner Hannah Rhodes: ‘I haven’t had much alcohol since my diagnosis.’
He added: ‘This is something I need to be much more conscious of now.’
Offering Catherine a soft drink instead, Mrs Rhodes said: ‘Fair enough.’
Turning to William, Catherine stroked her husband’s knee and said: ‘But you like cider, don’t you?’
