Private bus operators in Kerala plan indefinite strike from July 22

Private bus operators in the state will increase various demands, including the revision of student privileges as of July 22nd.
The bus owners announced the decision to continue the strike plan after the negotiations between the bus owners and Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar on Wednesday.
After the talks, the bus operators union decided to quit the strike plan. However, the majority of operator associations decided to continue the strike plan after the government was not handled by the government.
The basic demands include the revision of student concession rates, the renewal of expired permissions, the withdrawal of the directives that convert limited buses into ordinary services, and the police cleansing certificates for the bus employees.
After the meeting, the minister told the media that the government directed the transport secretary to the students to meet with the clothes of the students to review the guarantee of the students and to present a report within two weeks.
Authority, only after discussing the issue with the Prime Minister, more than 140 km private bus permission request can be taken, he said. The Minister also admitted that a small march in the student fee should be allowed to save the private bus industry.
Later, Hamsa Erikkunnan, the President of the Bus Owners’ joint committee, told the media that he could not agree on any decision without reviewing the privilege of students.
