Protest disrupts Melbourne orchestra’s London show
The horns, wires and reeds of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra took a very angry noise as they performed in London on Friday night.
For Palestine, Jewish artists broke MSO’s performance for a live broadcast of MSO’s BBC Radio 3, silenced the music and forced the concert to restart.

“MSO has blood in her hand,” a woman, a woman who has been shot by an audience in the video since she was loaded on social media.
“You silence Jayson Gillham! MSO is fixed in genocide! You silence the artists! MSO Fixed!”

Pianist Jayson Gillham was dismissed from MSO after making a statement supporting Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza before a performance in August 2024.
MSO canceled the next event that Gillham’s comments were not appropriate and that it was a “attack of personal political views”.
He then made a mistake in canceling Gillham’s shows.
Gillham later reached a principle with Sophie Galaise, General Manager of the former Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, but still suits MSO.
