Mohamed Salah: Liverpool forward expected back from injury before end of season

Salah has won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup and two EFL Cups, as well as the Community Shield, in an iconic career since joining in 2017.

Only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285) have scored more goals for Liverpool, and the fact that he took the time to applaud the Anfield fans when he came on against Palace suggests he is not confident he will have the chance to increase that tally.

Instead, while a return to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday looks unlikely, the latest update gives hope that Salah could feature before the end of the season.

Liverpool will host Chelsea on May 9 and travel to Aston Villa before the end of the season to face Brentford on May 17.
