Protestors dump horse manure next to Ritz Hotel Christmas tree

Protesters dumped horse manure next to the Ritz Hotel’s Christmas tree in a demonstration against wealth inequality.

Take Back Power, a new campaign group, said three supporters emptied bags of compost next to a 25ft tree in the hotel lobby on Wednesday afternoon.

Footage shows fans being quickly whisked away by staff and then sitting in front of the hotel with banners reading “Inequality sucks. Tax the rich.”

The Metropolitan Police were called to reports of criminal damage at a Mayfair hotel.

No arrests have been made, the investigation continues.

A spokesman for Take Back Power said: “It’s time for ordinary people – those most affected by inequality – to have a say in deciding how wealth is taxed through the People’s Assembly, a legally binding assembly of citizens.”
