On Sunday, Hyderabad Metro General Manager NVS Reddy said that a strong public transportation is the only sustainable solution to traffic congestion in cities, and that Haydarabad Metro railway has become one of the successful public transportation systems in the country due to various innovative measures.

Speaking as a head guest at the All India Architecture Reconnection Summit, he underlined the importance of transit -oriented development and argued that architects should encourage high -rise housing complexes, commercial centers and educational institutions and thus reduce dependence on car trip.

“With rapid urbanization, transportation difficulties are also increasing. Hyderabad Metro Rail has gained a tremendous popularity due to comfortable travel experience, energy efficiency and emphasis on women’s safety,” he said.

Solutions to urbanization should be investigated both socially and economically. Authorized, should not be seen as an opportunity for national development, not a challenge, added. “Architects should take advantage of technical expertise to develop innovative ideas to address population growth, environmental deterioration, pollution control and fast -paced urbanization,” he said.

Reddy, which is drawn in parallel with China, observed that the urbanization process can be used to accelerate India’s growth orbit by giving priority to the industrial sector and shifting a significant portion of the labor force from agriculture to industry.

MD called for architects to combine modern technologies with the use of environmentally friendly materials to make traditional Indian design principles and urban life more livable. Singapore’s rainwater harvesting initiatives, where the integration of rain water storage systems is an important part of urban projects, should be monitored.
