Israeli troops fire on suspects crossing Gaza ceasefire boundary line

The Israeli army said its troops in northern Gaza were forced to “open fire” on some suspects who crossed the border set under a ceasefire agreement on Monday.

“Earlier today, we detected several suspects crossing the yellow line and approaching IDF troops in northern Gaza, a clear violation of the agreement,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. he said. “After multiple attempts to remove them, the suspects refused to comply, leading to troops opening fire to eliminate the threat.”

The IDF also said, “Reports of terrorists infiltrating IDF positions are false.”

“IDF calls on Gaza residents to comply with the instructions and keep their distance from Israeli soldiers,” the statement said.
