Queensland captain Cameron Munster rocked by father’s passing days before Origin III

Captain Cameron Munster, the state of origin of Queensland, will be on the field on Wednesday night, despite the sudden death of his father Steven Munster.

Munster was in the camp with Maroons when he received destructive news overnight.

Instead of withdrawing, the 29 -year -old players chose to honor his father’s memory by taking his state to one of the most emotionally loaded games of his career.

Queensland coach Billy Slater on Sunday morning, Munster’a Sydney’deki Accor Stadium III. Before the game joined the squad, he confirmed that compassionate permission was given to be with his family.

“Unfortunately, Cameron Munster’s father Steven Munster’s father, we woke up with sad news that Steven Munster passed,” Slater said.

“Cam will leave the camp to be with his family before joining the game on Wednesday.”

Slatter condolences to the entire Queensland Origin team and the wider Rugby League community.

“In the name of our Footy team and the state of Queensland, we send our thoughts, our love and condolences to Steven Munster’s family and friends – especially his wife Debbie, daughter Danielle, and of course his son Cameron, Slat Slater said.

Steven Munster was a proud supporter of his son’s career, and he regularly travels with his wife Debbie to watch Cameron play for both Melbourne Storm and Queensland. He was a passionate Maroons fan, and in the case of origin, he was a constant being at the stands.

Munster’s decision to play via personal tragedy strengthened his admiration for the Star of Queensland, who will only manage his side with a heavy feeling behind the high -betting decision.
