The victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Brockman is expected to appear before Geraldton Magistrates Court on February 19.
The 23-year-old returned to training following the off-season incident and Western Australia reported he was on the field on Friday.
Brockman, who was drafted to Hawthorn in 2021 before returning to WA in 2024, played 30 games for the Eagles.
He scored 14 goals in 20 games last year after a syndesmosis problem ended his 2024 season early.
