Lendlease bosses slam consultancy firm’s ‘fundamental breach of trust’

Legal professional privilege, which aims to protect the advice lawyers give to their clients, is an important issue in these cases. KPMG and the firm’s lawyers at Allens have made clear they will argue that much information about the scandal was protected and should not have been disclosed to the Senate or the public. O’Neill: “So they’re claiming legal professional privilege over documents that are directly related to the information you’re seeking to manage what’s going on in and about your own company.”

Lombardo: “Yes, they are trying to protect their information. More importantly, we were trying to make sure we fully understood the use of that information through the claims.”
