Radio host Jackie O threatens lawsuit against former employer ARN over wrongful termination and misleading the market

Radio presenter Jackie Henderson is reportedly threatening to take legal action against her former employer ARN for unfair dismissal and misleading the public after she was taken off work following an on-air argument with co-host Kyle Sandilands.
Henderson, or Jackie O, had her $100 million contract terminated by the radio network after informing her bosses that she could no longer work with Sandilands after she claimed her new interest in astrology was distracting her from work last month.
Sandilands was suspended by the network for serious misconduct and given 14 days to rectify the situation or he faces termination.
The long-serving duo had a joint contract worth $200 million over 10 years.
According to the news in the Australian Financial Review, Henderson claimed that his contract with ARN was unfairly terminated and that he was not offered another program, as stated in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange.
The outlet reports that Henderson is considering legal action for wrongful termination.
Last week, Henderson released a statement saying he was not leaving or resigning from the series.

“I am deeply saddened by the events of last week and the possibility of the series ending. This came as a shock to me, like everyone else,” he said.
“It is truly heartbreaking to see how this has unfolded. At this stage I cannot say anything further as I am dealing with the matter through the appropriate legal channels.”
