Rahul Urges Relief Package for Flood-Hit States

New Delhi: Congress leader and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to announce a special aid pack for states that witnessed destructive destructive destructive destruction.

Meanwhile, in the midst of heavy rainfall in several states, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, North Punjab, North Haryana, Eastern Rajasthan, Southwest Uttar Pradesh, Northwest and East Madhya Pradesh and Odisha published red warnings for various regions of Odisha.
According to IMD, the regions under Red Alert in Jammu & Kashmir include Poonch, Mirpur, Rajouri, Rei, Jammu, Ramban, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Doda and Kishtwar. Punjab, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawashahr, Rupnagar, Moga, Ludhiana, Barnala and Sangrur is under red warning; While Himachal was in Pradesh, Mandi, Una, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Solan are under similar warnings. Nagar, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panchkula and Sas Nagar are also under the same warning.
Between 08:30 and 05:30 on Tuesday, various regions in Jammu & Kashmir witnessed significant rainfall.
