Railways Prepares DPRs For 26 Projects In AP, Including Bullet Train Corridors
Amaravati: Railways undertook the preparation of comprehensive project reports (DPRS) for 26 projects covering 1,960 km throughout andhra Pradesh. These include the construction of new railway lines, high -speed bullet train corridors, intense routes, additional lines, bypasses and rail bridges.
Ongle – Donakona, Dupadu – Betancharla and Machilipatnam – Narasapuram – Repelle, such as 11 routes are planned on 11 routes without existing connection. The surveys have been carried out before and the DPRs are now concluded with the approval of the railway board.
Ambitious High Speed Corridors-Haydarabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Cennai will pass through Andhra Pradesh, which covers 300 km and 464 km, respectively.
The third and fourth lines are planned on Vijayawada – Chennai, Vijayawada – Hyderabad and Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam. In addition, considering heavy coal and mineral traffic from Odisha to Visakhapatnam, the fifth and sixth lines are considered between Simhachalam North and Kothavalasa.
Authorities said that the focus is to improve both the passenger connection and the load movement in the state.
