Rains LIVE: 9 Kerala districts, coastal Karnataka on red alert; schools shut after heavy rainfall

Hossanagara Taluk’s heavy rains broke the filming of the film, directed by Rishab Shetty in the back waters of Mani Dam, built along the Varahi River on Saturday.

According to the production company, some of the film set collapsed in stagnant water throughout the day.

Adarsh, the chief producer of Hombale Films, who appealed to journalists here, said that the Alabora structure was part of a set built for background images and that there was no dump or crew member during the incident.

“A ship -like set was built for ground purposes. It was overturned by heavy wind and rain. However, our crew was trying to shoot elsewhere. Nobody was injured and the shooting continued without deterioration.”
