SIT searches activist Mahesh Shetty Thimarody’s home in Dharmasthala case

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the special investigation team (SIT), who investigated the buried bodies in Dharmasthala, called the activist Mash Setty Thimarody’s residence in Ujire.

Thimarody, BJP’s National Secretary General (Organization) Bl Santhosh’a allegedly humiliating statements against the arrest of bail after being arrested.

SIT officials were accompanied by the defendant CN Chinnaiah during the search on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

According to SIT officials, Thimarody has preserved Chinnaiah in his home for the last two months and was armed from the Belthangady Court by a search order, and the team was trying to gather information and evidence from the activist’s residence.

Authorities, as a part of the wider investigation, said that gathering evidence continues.

Chinnaiah, who was arrested on charges of lying, exploded after claiming that a series of bodies had been buried with the results pointing to the rulers of the local temple, including women with signs of sexual assault.

BJP protested against targeting. Deputy Prime Minister DK Shivakumar, the complaint was wrong in case of wrong lawsuit.

Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari or custody of the temple also welcomed SIT’s constitution.
