Melbourne’s producers, director Rajkumar Hirani, Anjali Menon, Shoojit Sircar and Onir and the 2025 anthology film announced the film spiritual sequel. The Indian-Australian Film project, produced by the Mind Blowing Films and presented by the Indian Melbourne Film Festival, continues its task to strengthen the ties between India and Australia through celebration of cultural diversity and cinema.

About my Melbourne
The first edition of Melbourne, which was released in India and Australia in March 2025, brought together filmmakers Rima Das, Onir, Imtiaz Ali and Kabir Khan to prepare stories around identity, gender, race, sexuality and disability.
Returning director Onir said that return for the second part of my Melbourne is still like going back to a story that emerged. “The opportunity to work with new themes and sounds while going on a journey that I deeply believe in.”
