Ranveer Singh film continues HISTORIC run, becomes first Bollywood movie to earn Rs 800 crore in India

Dhurandhar will now aim to challenge the record held by the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which starred Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, which collected Rs 830 million in India in Hindi alone and emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.

Dhurandhar enters Rs 800 crore club

Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, grossed over Rs 1200 Million at the global box office and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. The high-octane spy thriller has a strong cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles.

Dhurandhar has been on a record-breaking craze ever since its release on December 5. The film has already crossed the Rs 700 crore mark in domestic net box office and has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film in India, beating big movies like Jawan, Chhaava, Stree 2, Animal and Gadar 2. The film earned Rs 794.20 crore nett in India in its first 29 days.

Now, the Ranveer Singh starrer has also become the first Bollywood film to earn more than 800 crore rupees in India. According to the initial estimates of entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 7 billion till 6 pm on its 30th day, i.e. the fourth Saturday. This takes the film’s net domestic collection to just over Rs 800 crore.

Rising to the top with its blockbuster success, Dhurandhar Chapter 2: Revenge is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festive weekend of Eid-al-Adha, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. The sequel is heading for a high-voltage box office clash with the Indian-era gangster epic Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, Nayanthara and Kiara Advani.
