Ranveer Singh film slows down in fifth week but still outperforms Ikkis, Avatar 3, TMMTMTTM

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to outperform other major films releasing in December, including Hollywood’s biggest film Avatar: Fire and Ash, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Dharmendra’s last film Ikkis, led by Agastya Nanda.
Dhurandhar box office updates
Directed by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar cements its status as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. The film, which has a staggering collection of more than Rs 1240 million worldwide, has surpassed big hits like Jawan, KGF Chapter 2, Animal, Kalki 2898 AD and Pathaan to become the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time after Dangal, Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 and RRR. Since its release on December 5, Dhurandhar has been a record-breaking box office hit.
Now, finally in its fifth week, the Ranveer Singh film has slowed down a bit. The spy thriller, which collected Rs 5.40 billion on its fifth Monday, earned Rs 4.75 billion on Tuesday, according to initial estimates by entertainment streaming portal Sacnilk. This takes Dhurandhar’s 33-day net domestic earnings to over Rs 830 billion. The Aditya Dhar directorial continues to perform better than other big films released in December; these include Hollywood’s biggest film Avatar: Fire and Ash, romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday and Dharmendra’s latest film Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda.
Avatar 3, which released on December 19, managed to rake in around Rs 1.65 lakh on its third Tuesday, while its Christmas 2025 release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, fell far behind with just Rs 25 lakh on its second Tuesday. The latest release Ikkis, which released in theaters on January 1, earned Rs 1.50 Million in revenue on its first Tuesday. So, even after more than a month, it is clear that Dhurandhar is still the first choice of moviegoers.
The high-octane spy thriller has an impressive cast featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor and Rakesh Bedi in important roles. Dhurandhar Chapter 2: Revenge is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festive weekend of Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. The sequel is heading towards a high-voltage showdown with the Indian-era gangster saga Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, Nayanthara and Kiara Advani.
