Rapist who stalked woman asked to ‘call mum and dad’ during arrest | News

A man convicted of raping and stalking a woman asked if he could call his parents while he was being arrested.

Jack-Leland Webster, of Cedar Road, Earl Shilton, Leicester, was jailed for nine years and five months for a range of offenses including rape, strangulation and stalking while he was living in Manchester. He pleaded guilty at the previous hearing.

Webster, formerly Jack Malone, attacked and raped his victim while threatening to kill her. While he was out on bail, he stalked her through hundreds of fake social media accounts.

Body camera footage released by Greater Manchester Police on Wednesday (April 8) shows the moment police arrested Webster. He can be heard asking if he could “call Mom and Dad.”

He was also given an indefinite restraining order during Wednesday’s sentencing.
