US President Donald Trump wished good luck to the American cricket team in the ongoing T20 World Cup in India and said the country supports the players. This happened as the USA Cricket team participated in more than twenty world cup events in India and Sri Lanka. The USA will face Pakistan on February 10, the Netherlands on February 13, and Namibia on February 15. In the opening match of the tournament, host and T20 world cup holder India defeated the USA in a competitive match held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The USA hosted the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Eisenhower Park in New York.

“I just heard the Cricket World Cup is starting in India! I wish Team USA good luck! We have a very strong team. America is supporting you!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Sunday.

US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor responded to the post with the following words: “Thank you for your kind words, Mr. President!”
