Cabban, who lives in Parkes, NSW and worked in the nearby Town of Forbes, was caught by a lion at the Darling Downs Zoo on Sunday 30 minutes before the opening of the zoo.

While the main storage was cleaned at that time, the lion was held in a pen.

Cabban was near the holding pen while cleaning the guards.

His brother -in -law Steve Robinson, a common owner of the zoo, said he stayed with the family while visiting the zoo for years.

During his stay, he worked as a photographer of the Cabban Zoo.

Robinson said, “Every holiday continues from where he lived in the zoo. He stays with us, Rob Robinson said.

“Now he has been doing this for more than 20 years… The rest of his family is here – his father, brother, nephews, nephews.”
