Flotilla for Gaza says boat struck by drone in Tunisian waters, authorities deny

(Reuters) – Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza said on Tuesday that one of the main boats was shot by a drone in the Tunisian waters, but six passengers and crews were safe.
Tunisian officials, the explosion emerged in the ship, and Tunisia’s national guard spokesman Mosaique FM Radyo, a drone attack on the fleet “actually has no basis” told.
GSF, said in a statement, Flotilla’s steering committee carrying the Portuguese boat, main deck and storage under the deck continued to damage fire.
Flotilla is an international attempt to offer humanitarian aid to Gaza through civilian boats supported by delegations from 44 countries, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and Portuguese left -wing politician Mariana Mortagua.
After the strike, dozens of people gathered outside the Sidi Bou of Tunisia, that the Filil’s boats were placed, shook the Palestinian flags and chant “Free Palestine”.
Israel, Hamas seized the control of Gaza in 2007, said it aims to stop the arms from reaching the militant group, saying that a sea blockade in the coastal settlement.
The blockade remained in place with clashes, including the current war that began when Hamas attacked Southern Israel in October 2023, killed 1,200 and took about 250 hostages.
The Gaza Ministry of Health said that Israel’s military attack against later Hamas killed more than 64,000 Palestinians, and some of the enclavi of a global hunger monitor suffered from famine.
Israel sealed Gaza with land at the beginning of March and did not leave any material for three months, arguing that Hamas had helped.
In June, the Israeli Navy rode and seized a British -flagged yacht carrying Thunberg. Israel rejected the aid ship as a propaganda stunt to support Hamas.
The GSF also said that an investigation into the drone attack continues and the results will be launched for once.
“The actions of aggression, which aim to intimidate our mission and remove the rail, will not deter him. Our peaceful mission continues with determination and decision to break the siege in Gaza and to stand in solidarity with its people.” He said.
