Real Madrid: Spanish club apologise for error in tribute to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva

“We regret this incident.”
Elche forward Silva, who represented Portugal 53 times, was Jota’s teammate at Porto and also played for AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig.
His side will face Real in a La Liga clash on Sunday.
In early November, representatives of the Madrid club, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and manager Xabi Alonso, laid a wreath in Jota’s memory at Anfield ahead of the Champions League clash with Liverpool.
A card written by former Reds full-back Alexander-Arnold read: “Dude Diogo, you are so missed but still so loved. The memory of you and Andre will always live on. I smile every time I think of you and I will always remember the great times we shared. I miss you every day mate. I love Trent and your family.”
