Record forecast for Australia’s world-class agriculture
Livestock price, Australia’s agriculture, fishing and forestry production value will break a record of more than 100 billion dollars.
The federal government’s commodity estimator says that beef, lamb and dairy products increase the production of overall agricultural sector.
However, the crop production value will fall in South Australia and Victoria for 12 months after rainfall until July.
There are also concerns for southern NSW due to a slow start to the winter clipping season and relatively low soil moisture levels.
The Australian Agriculture and Economics and Sciences Office issued a commodity report for the September 2025 quarter on Tuesday.
Livestock and livestock product values will increase due to “solid” global demand and higher prices, which provide higher prices.
The general manager of the office, the new record value often depends on animal husbandry, he said.
“We have recently seen high prices for both livestock and animal products such as beef, lamb and milk,” Jared Greenville said. He said.
“This increased the value of animal husbandry to 41.6 billion dollars and helps to increase the production value of the total agricultural sector to $ 94.7 billion, which would be a record.”
Gross gross agricultural production of Australia is estimated to increase by 685 million dollars in the financial year.
Livestock and livestock product values are estimated to increase 1.1 billion dollars in 2025-26.
