Indian Student Suffers Brain Stroke in Russia, Airlifted to Jaipur

Jaipur: The 22-year-old MBBS student from Rajasthan, who was fighting for his life in Kazakhstan after suffering cerebral palsy, was flown to Jaipur on Monday evening. Rahul Ghosalya, a resident of Jaipur’s Shahpura and a medical student in Astana since 2021, suffered a cerebral stroke on October 8 and was being treated with ventilator support at a hospital there.

He was brought to Jaipur by air ambulance and taken to SMS Hospital under the supervision of medical and district administration teams. Officials said the person was taken to the intensive care unit.

A special intensive care ambulance and medical team from SMS Hospital were assigned for the transfer.

Rahul’s parents had earlier appealed to the central and state governments through social media to help bring him back to India for further treatment. Various social organizations participated in efforts to facilitate the family’s evacuation.
