Renewal of the collective agreement

Peace officers in Quebec correctional services finally voted in favor of the settlement hypothesis that had been submitted to renew their collective agreement.

78% of them voted in favor of this settlement hypothesis, submitted by the conciliator at the beginning of June.

There had already been a first agreement in principle, in June 2025, but it was rejected by the members.

This union, which is attached to the Federation of Public Service Employees, affiliated with the CSN, has 2,900 members. They work in 17 detention establishments in Quebec.

The previous collective agreement expired on March 31, 2023, at the same time as those of union members in the public and parapublic sectors.
