Republicans and Democrats reach funding package deal, US president says

In Minneapolis, an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Good on Jan. 7, and a Border Patrol officer shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti on Jan. 24. Both the murders and the ongoing immigration operation in the state led to protests across the country. The second attack caused Democrats and some Republicans to backtrack on approving DHS funding.
